Become an important part of our Campaign
Are you looking for job experience? Making new friends with the same interests you have? A way to make a difference? Join our campaign to elect Bonnie North, a politician committed to doing politics differently.
Currently Available Volunteer Roles:
Coffee with Bonnie!!: Let Bonnie North take your message to Ottawa! Invite friends or neighbours to coffee with Bonnie and have the chance for in-depth conversations about what matters to you.
Photography/Videography Team: Document Bonnie’s campaign through photos and videos and help create a compelling message, with your name on it, that will be used for social media, websites and media releases.
Community Champion: Take on a leadership role and make it your own. Community Campions create opportunities for Bonnie North to meet your community to learn what matters to them in the upcoming election and helps the campaign understand what is important to you and your community.
Your community may be defined by where you live (“Alcona for Bonnie”), your cultural background (“Irish Canadians for Bonnie!”), how you identify (“LGBT goes BI for Bonnie”) or by an activity or club (Curling rocks for Bonnie). No matter the community, Bonnie North is committed to representing all Barrie-Innisfil communities in Ottawa and wants to see you represented in her campaign
Lead Community Canvasser: Help your Community Champion and Bonnie connect with members of your community by taking our message to them in person. Join a “canvassing blitz” and gain skills from working with professionals to help your neighbours understand the values that Bonnie wants to bring to Ottawa on their behalf.
Social Outreach Team: Contact local supporters and volunteers about upcoming events and opportunities to support Bonnie North’s campaign. People talking to people is the single most important activity of any campaign and you can help all of Bonnie’s supporters feel like the big inclusive family that we want us all to be.
Social Media Team: Help to strategize and develop the campaign’s social media messaging to spread Bonnie North’s message. Let Barrie-Innisfil knows how Bonnie and the Green Party does politics differently. Not right. Not left. Forward together.
Communications Strategist: Develop and implement a local media strategy to raise Bonnie North’s profile and share Bonnie’s message across media outlets serving the Barrie-Innisfil area. Know anyone working in local media? This is your chance to help make sure they understand how important your priorities for your future are.
Campaign Information Technology Specialist: Work at the core of the campaign by helping to build out IT infrastructure and capabilities to make sure the campaign is using the most effective tools available. Create documents and spreadsheets that are critical to supporting and organizing Bonnie North’s Campaign Team.
Logistics Manager: Help form the backbone of Bonnie’s team with making sure everything’s where it needs to be, whether it’s preparing for a major event or getting out signs to Paint the Town Green with our message!
Event Coordinator: Planning a career in Event Management? Work with Catherine Jones, our Campaign Manager Extraordinaire and help take charge of all the tasks that culminate in a successful event; from the invitations and pre-event publicity all the way through until the post-event thank yous and promotional material.
